Get to Know Me

Faithe R. Kalisperis is a pediatric physical therapist who has worked at ÎÞÂëרÇø Children’s Hospital, Delaware for more than 20 years. She attended the University of Scranton, where she earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She went on to complete a Neurodevelopmental Treatment Certification to improve her clinical skills and focus her practice on the treatment of children with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor conditions. She has worked at ÎÞÂëרÇø in both the acute care and outpatient clinic settings and is currently working in the Gait Analysis Lab to provide care for children with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.

Why I Treat Children

I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a pediatric physical therapist. From the first physical therapy (PT) session I attended with my cousin, who has cerebral palsy, I knew I wanted to become a pediatric physical therapist to care for children and young adults.

What I'm Passionate About

I am passionate about providing care that focuses on the whole child, care that is in line with the patient and family’s functional needs and goals. I am passionate about listening to the patients and families I work with, and to create a treatment plan that meets their needs and helps them achieve their personal goals — goals that help them participate as best they can in the activities that bring them joy outside of the therapy setting. I have dedicated my career as a PT to the care of children with neuro-orthopedic conditions, specializing in neurodevelopmental treatment and gait analysis.

How I Try to Make A Difference

I view each new day as an opportunity to make a difference. Each patient and family I work with is unique and deserves my best. If one small suggestion, treatment strategy or recommendation can help in the smallest way, then a difference can be made. To make a difference I strive to approach every patient interaction with intention, with evidence-based knowledge, with clinical expertise, and a smile.

Research Activities

I currently participate in research conducted in the gait lab at ÎÞÂëרÇø Children’s Hospital, Delaware.
